Olumide, the son of former Governor Olusegun Osoba of Ogun State, has been reelected as a member representing the Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi-Owode federal constituency of Ogun State. Olumide previously held the same position from 2011 to 2015. His father was the former Governor of Ogun State on two occasions. Firstly, he served from 1992 to 1993 during the Nigerian Third Republic, and subsequently, he was reelected and served a second term from 1999 to 2003.
