Okonkwo stated that the interview further solidified his long-standing belief that INEC had manipulated the election to favor their preferred candidate. He criticized the failure of INEC to fulfill its duties in accordance with the law, and accused Okoye of dishonesty. Okoye had disclosed during the interview that the Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) might face legal action, but Okonkwo highlighted the lack of accountability as no one had been held responsible for the failure to transmit and upload presidential election results.

Expressing his concerns, Okonkwo emphasized that the presence of incompetent and dishonest individuals within INEC, such as the Adamawa REC and the leadership in Abuja, would hinder Nigeria’s progress.
