Lifestyles Home Décor and More in Kirkland Lake, Ontario is a family-owned and managed business that was established in the year 2017 after being a Sears Hometown store since 2010. Despite the demise of Sears, our family’s mission was to continue to provide quality products and services to our community and surrounding area. Our vision “Inspired by Living” established the beginning of our Lifestyles Home Décor & More store. Initially, we were a 2000 sq ft store offering furniture and appliances, and we are proud to say we’ve evolved into 7500 sq ft offering a one-stop-shop for all our costumer’s comfort and personal home needs.

Our expansion has widened the range of brands we carry and offers more products to choose from. We have introduced décor items such as mirrors, lamps, rugs, wall prints, as well as seasonal décor. In addition to home furnishings and decor, we have designed a do-it-yourself project center. We are a Fusion Mineral Paint dealer that carries a large selection of paint products and accessories; such as stencils, decorative doorknobs, and DIY kits. Our store also offers instant photo printing at our Fuji Film kiosk center.

With all that we have established, we are excited to have created a store where our customers can find great items for their home as well as gifts for others.

Our knowledgeable and friendly staff members are excited to get you inspired to help you fulfil and create your dream living space.

In 2023, home décor and design trends are primed to shift into earthy, texture-rich territory via brown and wooden furniture, handmade pieces, neutral color palettes, and bespoke touches that lend warmth and character to a space.

“Heading into 2023, we’re really into darker and dramatic shades, such as deep charcoals and browns. These tones are not only elegant and upscale when complemented with tonal furnishings and accessories, but they bring a warm and comfortable feel to the space.”

The Return of Color. After the past few years of non-stop neutrals, in 2023 we’ll see a return of color in home decor, paint colors, and bedding. Tying in with the other home trends in this post, a luxurious palette of rich jewel tones, soothing greens, timeless blues, and warm earth tones will dominate in 2023.
Curves and arches. Now, organic curves and fluid forms are taking center stage in everything from lighting to sofa trends (opens in new tab) and more. Smooth, rounded edges and curvaceous forms can create a more ‘soft’ look in a space, helping a room to look and feel more welcoming, relaxing and comfortable.

Trend forecasting authority WGSN, in collaboration with Coloro, named Digital Lavender their color of the year for 2023, so expect to see more variants of this soothing shade infiltrating fashion and interiors.
Insider asked interior designers about the kitchen trends you should expect to see in 2023. Backless stoves, open-concept designs, and darker hues are gaining popularity. Granite, gray cabinetry, and open shelving are on their way out.
Accent walls are a great way to define a space, and in 2023, we’re going to see them in a whole new light. Bold patterns turn any wall into a statement wall! More than just a pop of color, a statement accent wall brings joy and exuberance into the home—something we could all use after the last several years.
The consensus is that grey is out and warm neutrals will continue to dominate in 2023. “The color trends have gone from all white to warm neutrals, and in 2023 we will be warming up those neutrals even more,” says Brooke Moore, Interior Designer at Freemodel.
The next big key to using gray in 2023 is to choose warm tones. Like I mentioned, warm toned neutrals are the it neutral this year, and designers are favoring beige, ivory, and taupe over cool gray and stark white.
Well, we’ve got some exciting news for you: the lucky number of 2023 is 7! This number has a rich and fascinating history and is thought to bring prosperity, good fortune, and happiness to those who embrace it.
Orange, brown, white, yellow and green are amongst the best colors for kitchen as per Vastu Shastra. They bring in a warm and welcoming vibe and are known for stimulating appetite.
Use a neutral hue such as brown, black, or gray for a look that will withstand the test of time. Even deep reds and navy blues are classic front door colors that act as neutrals. If your style changes or you alter your home’s exterior later, neutral hues will adapt with you.
If you want timeless furniture, go for a timeless color. Yes, a color! A blue, yellow, or black sofa will be a lot more timeless than the popular gray. The gray sofas of today are just the brown leather sofas of 10 years ago.
Beige has been patiently waiting on the sidelines, and for 2023, it’s back as the choice designer neutral, and I couldn’t be more excited for its second time in the sun. For one, there’s a much wider array of tones available, from pale creamy lattes to deep chocolatey beiges.
Traditionally, rooms that go for an elegant look are painted beige or light gray. Cozier rooms opt for darker shades, such as browns or grays leaning towards the darker side of the spectrum. Modern looks are more often than not made of brighter colors.
“Generally, going with neutral colors like shades of white, beige, taupe, and grays lead to a faster sale,” she shares. “Neutral colors are also more appealing to potential buyers because many want the creative freedom of a blank canvas to add their personal touches to when looking for a new place to call home.
