A 29-year-old man who simply identifies as Taiwo has been arrested by the Lagos State Police for attempting to kill his mother, Mrs. Alice Iyabo so as to use her for rituals. Upon police interrogation, he revealed that he smashed his mom’s head with a plank, a pressing iron and UPS Charger to make sure she is dead before he can use her for his “yahoo” rituals and elevate himself.

According to reports, he got the opportunity to hit his mom after sending his nephew, Faruk out on an errand. Then he called in his mother with an excuse that he wants them to talk. It was at this moment that he smashed her head with a plank, pressing iron and UPS charger. His nephew returned home to see blood everywhere and alerted everyone in the community. That was how Taiwo was apprehended and arrested. The police ransacked his room and found several ritualistic items which includes; 2 calabash of which one contained a human skull and another a dark concoction, plank perforated with nails which had blood on it, pressing iron with blood stains, white handkerchief to be used in scooping the blood and a container with oil labelled “back to sender”.
