He reiterated that Buhari’s intention was to avoid the spotlight and had relocated to Daura, Katsina State, seeking tranquility. However, he expressed regret that his hometown did not provide the desired peaceful environment, prompting Buhari to travel abroad.

The statement pleaded for Buhari to be allowed to rest and for the Tinubu administration to have a conducive atmosphere to carry out its work. Shehu further added that Buhari wished to remain out of the public eye to avoid distracting the new administration.
