President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who spoke in Alake Palace, hinted that former President Muhammadu Buhari might have been against his Presidential ambition. The former Lagos governor said even though there were hardships, including the unavailability of the Naira notes and fuel, he still won the February 25, 2023 Presidential election. He expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun State.
President Tinubu, during the visit, said he came to redeem his promise to visit the Traditional Ruler when he emerged President. He went further to promise that his administration would deliver on campaign promises. According to him, all he wanted was to build a better Nigeria, where there would be a sustainable economy, hence, there is a need for Nigerians to make sacrifices. He maintained that as the President, he has also made some sacrifices to ensure that the lost glory of Nigeria is recovered. He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the Nation.
