He revealed that the road has yet to be constructed for over 12 years now.

He, however, revealed that he’s happy that Akpabio won in the 10th national assembly, pointing out that his prayer worked for him. He added that Akpabio would be able to use his position to help their situation in the Niger Delta areas.

According to him, “Look at the east-west road. I took it up with Senator Akpabio when he came to visit me. He told me that the 75 billion naira given to him by Buhari to finish the road was later taken from him when people like the minister of transportation, Amaechi, and others went to President Silver. They’ve always been fighting among themselves. This is what Akpabio told me on Saturday: that the east-west road should be handed over to the minister of works. Mr. President asked him to hand over the money to the minister of works, so people are blaming him because he embezzled 75 billion naira. These are some of the problems we’re facing. The east-west road has not been constructed for over 12 years now; nothing has happened. Yet, the minister of transportation at that time was building railways to Maradi in Niger.”
