Finally Election US Based Election Team Showed How the 2023 Presidential Election Was Rigged

On Tuesday, the International Election Observation Mission (IEOM), a collaboration between the National Democratic Institute and International Republican Institute, published its final report on the Nigerian general elections of 2023.

The group disclosed information about potential irregularities in the outcome of the 2023 election.

The mission was led by Dr. Joyce Banda, a distinguished former president of Malawi. The mission received support from the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The preliminary report was submitted on February 27th.

The report suggests that there may have been some challenges with communication and transparency from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which may have led to uncertainty and weakened trust in the voting process among some voters.

Paulina Chavez Alonzo, the press secretary for the National Democratic Institute (NDI), provided a critical evaluation in the final elections report for 2023, which was submitted to DAILY POST on Tuesday.

According to the group, “lowest turnout for national contests in Nigeria’ s modern democratic history, with only 27 per cent of registered voters participating.”

While there were notable improvements in election administration, results transparency, presidential race competition, youth engagement, and overall optimism following the enactment of the Electoral Act 2022, it has been observed that the elections did not fully meet the legitimate and reasonable expectations of citizens.

The group claim to found “significant INEC logistical, technological, and communications failures, divisive political party rhetoric, political violence, and regional disparities in electoral integrity.”

Concluding that “incidents of vote tampering and marginalization of key populations marred the electoral process and disenfranchised voters.”
