Patiently Waiting For The Court Case To Be Settled Before Airing My Opinion On Tinubu’s Presidency- Pa Ayo Adebanjo Speaks

Pa Ayo Adebanjo at an interview with Arise News, renowned Afenifere leader said that he could not recognize Tinubu at an office that he thought didn’t exist. He said that he is not the only one who is holding off on commenting on President Tinubu’s administration while the court matter is still pending. Adebanjo strongly asserted that, regardless of the court’s ruling, he had the right to his own independent expression of opinion. In his final statement, he reaffirmed that he could not be a part of a group that applauded Tinubu’s deeds while he held what Adebanjo regarded as a temporary post.

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, made it clear during an interview with Arise News that he does not recognize Tinubu in a post that he feels does not exist. He underlined that others join him in holding off on criticizing President Tinubu’s administration while the court matter is still ongoing.

“I can’t recognize him in an office that I think doesn’t exist,” he claimed. Be explicit about that. I reject the narrative that claims, “Oh, he did this; he did that.” They are confusing the problem. Remember that I’m not the only one who believes that we won’t know where we’re going until the court has completed its work on the matter. We can still voice our opinions, even if the court rules, but I don’t want to say things like, “Oh, he has been doing well; he has not been doing well.” For me, it is true that God appointed him as the governor of Lagos State. I am aware of his talent, but at this time, I will not comment. That is not Afenifere’s stance.

Adebanjo argued that he had the right to independently express his views regardless of the court’s decision. He was adamant that he couldn’t join people who praised Tinubu for his deeds while he was in what Adebanjo believed to be a temporary post.
